Using GANs to turn Second Life avatars into real life people: Taking Metaverse Shakespeare / SL Shakespeare Company’s Twelfth Night into the real world!
Thirteen years ago, I started the SL Shakespeare Company (renamed Metaverse Shakespeare Company)— and now, it’s time to bring some of that magic back to the year 2021, on its own platform.
Recently, my RL alter-ego created ActormaticAR.com which lets you turn a description of an actor into a 3D AR avatar that you can instantly puppeteer on your iPhone X+. Similar to the front-facing requirement from the SLFace.com technology I created in 2007 for making photorealistic skins in Second Life, one part of the intermediary process involves having front-facing photos.
